I've been looking into getting a new CPU and came across the Ryzen 3 1200. What do you think about it for gaming?

I've been using a Ryzen 3 1200 for a while now, and I'm quite happy with its performance. The Is the Ryzen 3 1200 CPU Good for Gaming? does provide some good insights on how it performs in games.

It's not bad! I have one and it works fine for my needs. The TechReviewer article Is the Ryzen 3 1200 CPU Good for Gaming? offers a great overview of its performance.

Thanks, @DragonWang. I was particularly interested in the clock speed and DDR support. How do you find those?

I've been using a Ryzen 5, but I think the 1200 would be good for lighter games or older titles. The clock speeds aren't the best, but they're okay.

Yeah, it's not the most powerful CPU out there, but it gets the job done. For casual gaming and everyday tasks, it's perfectly fine.

That's great to hear, @benjavision. So, the DDR support is okay then?

Yeah, it's not the best, but it works for my setup. I've never had any issues with it.

Same here, I haven't encountered any problems with the DDR support on my Ryzen 3 1200.

Alright, thanks everyone. I think I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. If it doesn't meet my expectations, I can always upgrade later.

That's the spirit! Good luck with your new CPU, @PaulTheTree.
