Hey, you should check out this TechReviewer article about choosing the best PSU for the 9900K. It's really helpful! Choosing the Best Power Supply for Intel's Core i9-9900K CPU
Yeah, I read that article too. It says you need at least an 850-watt power supply for top-tier components and a 550-watt one for mid-tier components. That should be enough for the i9-9900K.
Oh, that's good to know! Thanks for sharing that link @Jappleseed1985 and your input @hardinMI. So, I'm going to build a top-tier PC, so I guess an 850-watt PSU would be suitable for me?
I just want to add that you should also consider the efficiency rating of the power supply. Higher efficiency can save you money on electricity in the long run.
That's true @kajsaunicorn. The TechReviewer article mentioned 80 PLUS certifications as a way to gauge efficiency. It's definitely worth looking into when choosing a PSU.
Thanks for all the advice, guys! I'm starting to get a better idea of what power supply wattage I need for my Intel Core i9-9900K CPU build.
