Wall Mount Capacity for 77" LG C9 TV?

Started by jacobra94 on June 10, 2024

I recently bought a new 77-inch LG C9 OLED TV and I'm looking for the best wall mount to hold it securely. Can anyone recommend some good options? What factors should I consider when choosing a wall mount?

Another factor to consider is whether the wall mount you choose can handle cable management. Some mounts have built-in channels or clips to keep cables organized. Also, don't forget to check the compatibility of your chosen mount with the TV's VESA size. I found a helpful TechReviewer article Best Wall Mounts for the LG 77" C9 TV that discusses this in detail.

When selecting a wall mount, you should consider the VESA size, weight capacity, and type of motion (fixed, tilting, or full-motion). The LG C9 has a 400x200 VESA size and weighs about 66 lbs.

That's great information! Thanks for mentioning the article, @trowerend. Now, could you recommend some wall mounts that are compatible with my 77-inch LG C9 TV?

I would suggest checking out the SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount or the USX MOUNT Full Motion TV Wall Mount for 32-90 Inch TVs. Both have high weight capacities and support a variety of VESA sizes.

Another option to consider is the Vogel's THIN 550 Ultra Strong Full-Motion TV Wall Mount for Large TVs. It has an impressive weight capacity and offers great flexibility in terms of movement.

I've used the SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount before, and it worked perfectly with my previous TV. The installation process was straightforward, and it provided good cable management options. I would recommend giving it a try for your LG C9.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I'll check out these wall mounts and see which one works best for me. By the way, @trowerend, what was your experience with cable management on the SANUS mount?

The cable management on the SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount is pretty good. It has built-in channels to keep cables organized. However, I still found it necessary to use a separate cable manager or concealing box for a cleaner look.

That's helpful to know! Thanks again, @trowerend. I'll take that into consideration when making my decision.
