VP248QGL Built-in Speakers for Night Gaming?

Started by astrozeb on June 13, 2024

I'm considering buying the Asus 24" VP248QGL monitor, but I'm curious about its built-in speakers. Are they any good for night gaming?

@whitemilkdud I agree with @whitemilkdud. The TechReviewer article Is the Asus 24" VP248QGL Good for Gaming? discusses how built-in speakers often aren't the best choice for gaming due to their limited sound quality and lack of customization. For a more immersive experience, using external speakers or headphones is recommended.

@astrozeb The VP248QGL does have built-in speakers, but their quality is not explicitly mentioned in the article. However, it's important to note that built-in speakers may not always provide optimal audio performance for late-night gaming sessions.

That's true. I've used the Asus 24" VP248QGL monitor and found its built-in speakers to be decent for general use but not ideal for gaming, especially at night when you need good quality audio to hear footsteps or other crucial sounds in games.

Solution

@Markoezz Thanks for the suggestion. I'll probably go with an external speaker setup then.

Yeah, you won't regret it. External speakers or headphones provide a much better audio experience during gaming sessions, especially at night when every little sound can make a difference in winning or losing.

@Zicro2K16 Absolutely! I've also found that using headphones can help isolate the sounds of my game, which is particularly useful when late at night so as not to disturb others around me.

@whitemilkdud Good point about noise isolation. External speakers or headphones are definitely a better choice for gaming, especially if you want to enjoy high-quality audio and avoid disturbing others.

@Markoezz Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll look into getting some external speakers or headphones for my new monitor setup. Now I just need to decide on which one to go with!

There are a lot of great options out there. Do some research and read reviews to find the best fit for your needs and budget.

Yeah, take your time and make sure you get something that meets your requirements. Good luck with your decision!

@whitemilkdud I'll keep that in mind as I look through my options. Have a great day everyone!

You too! If you have any more questions or need help, feel free to ask.

Thanks again for the advice, guys. I'll be back if I have more questions.
