I'm considering buying the ViewSonic VX2467-MHD monitor, but I'm curious about its performance in dark environments. Has anyone had experience using this monitor in low-light conditions?

The TechReviewer article Is the ViewSonic 24" VX2467-MHD Good for Gaming? has an in-depth analysis of the ViewSonic VX2467-MHD's performance in dark environments. It also discusses other aspects such as refresh rate, response time, and resolution. I found it very helpful when I was deciding whether to buy this monitor.

I recently bought the ViewSonic VX2467-MHD and have been using it primarily for gaming. The performance in dark environments is quite good. The VA display panel type does a great job of delivering deep blacks and vibrant colors even in dimly lit scenes.

Thanks for sharing the link, @Stuffedbunny. I'll check out the TechReviewer article. How about color accuracy in low-light conditions? Is there any noticeable degradation?

I haven't noticed any significant issues with color accuracy in dark environments. The colors remain vibrant and accurate even when the lighting around me is dim.

I've been using the ViewSonic VX2467-MHD for a few weeks now, and I must say that its performance in dark scenes is impressive. The contrast ratio helps to create deep blacks and enhances details in shadows. However, if you're planning on doing a lot of game streaming or video editing in low-light conditions, you might want to consider monitors with higher contrast ratios.

@fluxus42 Thanks for the input. I mostly play single-player games, so I don't think game streaming will be an issue. But it's good to know that the monitor performs well in dark environments for gaming purposes.

If you're primarily a solo gamer and won't be doing much streaming or video editing, I think the ViewSonic VX2467-MHD should serve you well. The low response time also makes for an excellent gaming experience in dark scenes.

@alistaircol Just make sure to calibrate your monitor properly. Proper calibration can enhance color accuracy and contrast in dark environments. Also, don't forget to adjust the backlight brightness according to your ambient lighting conditions.
