I'm looking to get a new monitor and came across the ViewSonic VP3256-4K. Can you tell me if it's any good for gaming? I've read some mixed reviews online.

Yeah, I've been using one for a couple of months now and it's been great! The colors are really vibrant and the resolution is fantastic. You can check out more details in this article Is the ViewSonic 32" VP3256-4K Good for Gaming?. It might help you make your decision.
That's true, the 4K resolution definitely makes a difference when playing games like The Witcher 3. But I'm worried about the refresh rate being at 60Hz. What do you think, is that enough for gaming?
It's not terrible by any means, but if you can afford it, getting a monitor with a higher refresh rate would be better for gaming. You won't notice much of a difference unless you're playing fast-paced games, though.
Thanks for the input! I'm still trying to decide between this and another one with a 144Hz refresh rate. The VP3256-4K looks really nice though.
Yeah, it's all about what you can afford and what kind of games you play. If you're mostly into slower-paced games or productivity stuff, the VP3256-4K should be fine.
I have to agree with everyone else. The 60Hz refresh rate isn't a dealbreaker for me because I'm not really into competitive gaming. I do sometimes notice minor ghosting in fast-paced games though.
That's good to know, thanks! So it seems like the VP3256-4K could be a good option if I don't mind the 60Hz refresh rate and am okay with some occasional ghosting. Any tips on how to reduce that?
You can try adjusting your monitor settings or using a screen calibration tool to help minimize ghosting, but ultimately it's just something you might have to live with on a 60Hz monitor.
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look into those options. I think I'm leaning more towards getting the VP3256-4K now.
