I'm looking to get a ViewSonic VA2452Sm monitor and was wondering if you have any advice on the best placement for it? The official specs say it's 8 lbs and has a 100x100mm VESA size. Any recommendations?

For me, the easiest way is to just get a good desk mount that supports the weight and VESA size of your monitor. I found this article about mounts for the ViewSonic VA2452Sm that's really helpful Monitor Mounts & Stands for ViewSonic's 24" VA2452Sm. You should check it out!
That sounds like a great idea! What are some recommendations you have for choosing a desk mount? I'm not super experienced with this stuff.
Hey, I've been using the HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount for my ViewSonic VA2452Sm and it's been working fantastic. It supports the weight and VESA size of the monitor perfectly, and it's pretty easy to set up too. You can find more info about it Monitor Mounts & Stands for ViewSonic's 24" VA2452Sm. Give it a try!
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely check that one out. Do you think it would be better to place my monitor on the left or right side of my desk? That might depend on where my keyboard and mouse are, huh?
Yeah, exactly! It really depends on your setup and personal preferences. Some people prefer having their monitor on the left for easier access to their mouse, while others like it on the right so they can see more of their desktop. I've had good luck with mine on the left.
I have my ViewSonic VA2452Sm on the right side and I love it! It gives me a wider view of my desktop and makes everything feel more spacious. Plus, it's easier for me to reach my mouse without stretching too much. Totally a personal preference though!
Good to know, thanks guys! I'm leaning towards getting the HUANUO mount you recommended, @stevierayblonde. Do you think I'll need any extra accessories like cable management or a reinforcement plate?
Glad to help! The HUANUO mount is great and should work well for your VA2452Sm. As for accessories, it's always good to have some form of cable management to keep things tidy, but that's really up to you. A reinforcement plate might be a good idea if you're worried about scratching your desk or want an extra layer of protection, but it's not necessary.
That's helpful advice! Thanks everyone for the insights. I'll start researching some cable management options and see what works best for my setup. Cheers!
No problem, happy shopping! Let us know how everything turns out. Good luck with your new monitor and mount!
