I think @ErrantRook should check out this article from TechReviewer Is the Core i3-10105F CPU Good for Gaming?. It gives a really comprehensive overview of the CPU's performance. According to the article, its single-core max turbo boost frequency is excellent for gaming, but it does require a high-end cooler and doesn't support overclocking. The lack of DDR4 support at higher speeds can be a drawback too.

Yeah, I've used one for a while now and it works pretty well! But remember that each game has different requirements.

Solution

Thanks, @ThrowReallyFarAway99! I wasn't aware that the CPU needed such a powerful cooler for optimal performance. Any advice on which coolers are recommended?

You might want to look into air coolers like the Noctua NH-D9L or liquid coolers like the Corsair H100i. Both options should be able to handle the heat produced by the Core i3-10105F.

Great, thanks @Danny0402! What about the L3 cache size? Is 6 MB enough for gaming?

It's not terrible, but it could be better. An L3 cache of at least 20 MB is usually recommended for optimal gaming performance. The Core i3-10105F has a fairly low cache capacity compared to other CPUs in its class.

Alright, I see. One last thing - what about the DDR4 support? How crucial is that for gaming?

It's not absolutely essential, but having higher DDR4 speeds can definitely improve your gaming experience. The Core i3-10105F supports DDR4 with a max stock speed of 2666 MHz, which may be mediocre for some games.

I'll take all this information into consideration and make my decision accordingly.
