I'm looking for a soundbar to pair with my new Sony 55" X90L TV. Any recommendations?

Yes, the Sony HT-A5000 does support Dolby Atmos. You can read more about it in the TechReviewer article Best Soundbars for the Sony 55" X90L TV.

Hi @stevebeeks, I've heard good things about the Sony HT-A5000 5.1.2ch Dolby Atmos Sound Bar Surround Sound Home Theater. You can find more information in this TechReviewer article Best Soundbars for the Sony 55" X90L TV.

The Polk Audio Signa S4 Ultra-Slim Sound Bar is also worth considering, especially if you're looking for something budget-friendly.

Yeah, both of those sound like great options! I recently got the Sony HT-A5000 and it's been working fantastic with my X90L TV. The Bluetooth capability has been really useful too.

That's good to know @Dajosada. Thanks for sharing your experience!

What about surround sound formats? Does the Sony HT-A5000 support Dolby Atmos?

Solution

Great! I'm also interested in knowing more about HDMI video/audio pass-through and eARC support.

The Sony 55" X90L TV supports HDMI ARC/eARC, so you'll be able to use those features with your soundbar. Just make sure the soundbar itself is compatible too!

Thanks for all the helpful advice! I'm still trying to decide between the Sony HT-A5000 and Polk Audio Signa S4. Any personal experiences with either?

I've used both, and they're really good in their own ways. The Sony HT-A5000 has a more powerful sound, while the Polk Audio Signa S4 is smaller and more affordable. Ultimately, it depends on your needs and preferences.

Thanks for the input @royalsouvenir. I think I'll do some more research and then decide. This forum thread has been really useful!
