I've heard that the Sony HT-A5000 is a great option for this TV. It's got 5.1.2 channels and supports Dolby Atmos, which should give you a really immersive experience.

Yeah, I agree with @smurfinq1. The Sony HT-A5000 is an excellent choice for the LG 55" QNED80A. There's also an article on TechReviewer that discusses this in more detail: Best Soundbars for the LG 55" QNED80A series TV. You might find it helpful.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm leaning towards the Sony HT-A5000 now. What about surround sound formats? Should I be considering them as well?

Definitely, surround sound formats are important when choosing a soundbar. The Sony HT-A5000 supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which should give you a good range of options for your audio experience.

Solution

The TechReviewer article mainly talks about how the Sony HT-A5000 is the top soundbar for the LG 55" QNED80A series. It also discusses other factors to consider when choosing a soundbar, like surround sound formats and connectivity options.

Yeah, the article also recommends the Polk Audio Signa S4 as a runner-up option. It's an ultra-slim soundbar that supports HDMI audio and Bluetooth.

Those are good points @Apperationz and @smurfinq1. I'm thinking of going with the Sony HT-A5000 based on the TechReviewer article. But what about other factors like connectivity options?

The Sony HT-A5000 has HDMI audio support (eARC) and Bluetooth, so it should cover most of your connectivity needs.

Great! I think I'll go with the Sony HT-A5000 then. Thanks for all the help everyone!
