Solution

Thanks, @FunsKiTo. I've gone through the article, but I was wondering if anyone has any personal experiences with using a soundbar on an LG C1 48" TV?

I recently got a Sony HT-A5000 for my LG C1 48" TV and it's been great so far! The Bluetooth capability really comes in handy, especially when watching movies or playing games. The surround sound formats supported by the soundbar have also made a huge difference.

That sounds awesome, @alexfish. I'm considering whether to go for HDMI connection (ARC/eARC) or optical audio cable. What's your experience with these connections?

In my experience, HDMI ARC/eARC is the better option if you want to pass through video and decode audio on your soundbar. Optical cables are simpler and require less setup, but they don't support Dolby Atmos or DTS:X.

Thanks for the input everyone. Another question I had was about subwoofers - would anyone recommend adding a separate subwoofer to enhance bass?

Absolutely! A subwoofer can make a big difference in terms of bass quality and impact. Since my soundbar doesn't have one built-in, I opted for a separate subwoofer and it's really improved the overall audio experience.

Great to hear that you had a good experience with your setup, @alexfish. I'm also interested in knowing if anyone has used wireless surround speakers with their LG C1 48" TV. Any insights would be appreciated.

I haven't personally tried using wireless surround speakers, but I know some people who have. They've said that it adds an extra level of immersion to the audio experience. However, it can also add complexity to your setup and may not be suitable for everyone's room layout or situation.

Thanks again for all the advice! One final question - are there any particular soundbars you'd recommend for a LG C1 48" TV?

Based on my research, I would recommend the Sony HT-A5000 as a great option for an LG C1 48" TV. It has Bluetooth capability, supports surround sound formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and can be connected via HDMI ARC/eARC or optical audio cable.

Another good option is the Polk Audio Signa S4. It's an ultra-slim soundbar that supports eARC, Bluetooth, and has a built-in subwoofer. I've heard some great things about its performance too!

Thanks so much for all your help, everyone! I think I have a better idea now of what to look for in a soundbar for my LG C1 48" TV.
