Started by thevoidcircuit on May 22, 2024

I recently bought a BenQ EX2710Q monitor, and I'm looking for some recommendations on the best monitor mounts to use with it. Has anyone here had any experience with different types of mounts?

Hey @thevoidcircuit! Welcome to the discussion. I've been using a VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount with my BenQ EX2710Q, and it's been working great for me so far. It offers good adjustability, sturdiness, and cable management features. The TechReviewer article Monitor Mounts & Stands for BenQ's 27" EX2710Q also has some great recommendations on monitor mounts suitable for the BenQ EX2710Q. You might want to check it out.

Solution

Thanks for the suggestion, @Swanovan! I'll definitely take a look at that article. Could you tell me more about the VIVO mount? How easy was it to set up and how much weight can it hold?

@thevoidcircuit, I've been using a HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount with my BenQ EX2710Q, and I must say it's been fantastic. The setup was pretty straightforward, and the mount is very stable. It also offers good cable management options. The weight capacity is 22 lbs, so it should be able to handle your EX2710Q without any issues.

That sounds great! I'm definitely considering both of these mounts. Do you have any opinions on using a wall-mounted monitor mount? Would that work well with the BenQ EX2710Q?

@thevoidcircuit, I've used a wall-mounted monitor mount before and it worked well for me. It's a good option if you want to keep your desk clutter-free and maintain a clean workspace. However, the installation process can be more challenging compared to desk mounts. You might need to drill holes in your wall, so make sure to check that with your landlord or building management first.

@thevoidcircuit, I've been using a Ergotron LX monitor stand for my BenQ EX2710Q, and it's been fantastic! It's very sturdy, offers great adjustability, and has built-in cable management. The only downside is the assembly process, which can be a bit tricky, but once it's set up, it's definitely worth it.

Wow, there are so many options to choose from! Thanks for all the input, everyone. I think I'll do some more research on these mounts and read the TechReviewer article you mentioned, @Swanovan. I appreciate your help!

You're welcome, @thevoidcircuit! Good luck with your search, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

I'm thinking of getting a monitor stand instead of a mount. Has anyone used a monitor stand with their BenQ EX2710Q?

@Viklord17, I've used a monitor stand before and it worked well for me. They usually offer good adjustability, which can be beneficial for ergonomics and visibility. The main downside is that they may not provide as much desk space savings as mounts that are attached to the wall or desk. It really depends on your specific needs and preferences.

Thanks again for all the advice, everyone. I think I'll do some more research on monitor stands as well. There's a lot to consider!

No problem, @thevoidcircuit! Good luck with your decision-making process.

Just wanted to share my experience with a grommet mount for my BenQ EX2710Q. I've been using the AVLT Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount and it's been great so far. The installation was a bit more complex than other mounts, but it provides excellent stability and cable management features.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @talileota! That sounds like a good option to consider as well.

Great advice from everyone here! Remember to check the VESA size compatibility, weight capacity, and installation requirements before making a decision on a monitor mount or stand. Good luck with your search!

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I think I'll take some time to research further and make a more informed decision. Have a great day!
