I'm considering buying a new TV for gaming and came across the TCL 65Q650F. Can anyone tell me if it's suitable for gaming? I've heard mixed things.

I've been looking into this model as well. According to TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the TCL 65" 65Q650F TV, it's not ideal for gaming due to lack of Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support. However, it does have one HDMI 2.1 port and two HDMI 2.0 ports, which is a plus.

Yeah, I've been using the TCL 65Q650F for some time now, and it's an excellent TV for gaming! The colors are vibrant, and the overall picture quality is great. Plus, having one HDMI 2.1 port and two HDMI 2.0 ports is really helpful.

That's true, VRR would be nice for smoother gameplay. But I've been using it for gaming and haven't had any issues without VRR. The response time is good enough for most games, and you can always lower the settings to compensate.

I have been using the TCL 65Q650F for a couple of months now, and I must say it's an amazing TV for gaming! I use it with my PS5, and even though it lacks VRR support, I haven't faced any issues. The HDMI 2.1 port comes in handy for high frame rates.

Thanks for the input, @amsmoviepool. I appreciate knowing that someone else has had a good experience with this TV for gaming. It's helpful to hear from someone who is actually using it.

Agreed! The lack of VRR can be a dealbreaker for some people, but for most casual gamers, it shouldn't be a big issue. The 60 Hz refresh rate and decent response time should still offer a good gaming experience.

Thanks everyone for your input. Based on what you've shared, I think the TCL 65Q650F could work for me. I'll probably try to find some good deals during the upcoming sales event.

Good luck with your search, @TheOneBilbo! Don't forget to check out TechReviewer's recommended HDMI cables for a seamless experience.

Yeah, and don't forget to test different game settings on the TV before making your final decision. Different games may require some tweaking to get the best performance. Good luck!

Thanks again, everyone! I'll definitely check out those HDMI cable recommendations and adjust my gaming settings accordingly. Appreciate all the advice.

No problem, @TheOneBilbo! Have fun testing out your new TV when it arrives!

Yeah, good luck! And remember to take breaks while gaming, haha!
