I'm considering getting a TCL 65 65QM850G TV. Can anyone tell me about its HDMI inputs? Are they any good?

Hey, I've been looking at the TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the TCL 65 65QM850G TV about the TCL 65 65QM850G. It has some good info on its HDMI capabilities and recommended cables. Might be helpful for you guys too.

The TCL 65 65QM850G has two HDMI 2.1 ports and two HDMI 2.0 ports. It should be great for most purposes, but if you're into gaming or high-resolution content, the HDMI 2.1 ports would be particularly useful.

Yeah, I have this TV and it works fine. I use it mostly for watching movies and streaming shows. The HDMI inputs work well for me.

Solution

Thanks for sharing that link! I'm particularly interested in the refresh rate of this TV. Can anyone tell me if it's good for gaming?

The refresh rate is 120 Hz, which should be great for gaming. You'll get smooth motion and less input lag with that kind of refresh rate.

Yeah, I've noticed my games run really smoothly on this TV. The higher refresh rate definitely makes a difference.

I'm glad to hear that! I'm still deciding between the TCL 65 65QM850G and another TV with slightly more HDMI ports. Does anyone have experience with those?

Both TVs seem to offer similar performance in terms of gaming, so it really comes down to personal preference and your specific needs.

Yeah, I think you'll be happy with either choice. The TCL 65 65QM850G is a great TV overall, especially if the higher refresh rate appeals to you.

I'm leaning towards getting the TCL 65 65QM850G myself. I've heard good things about its picture quality and it seems well-suited for gaming as well.

That's what I'm going with too! Good luck with your decision, @Booshie317. Let us know if you have any questions after you get it.

Thanks everyone for the input! I'll definitely keep that in mind when making my final decision.
