I'm looking to buy a new monitor and I came across the BenQ 27" SW271C. Can anyone share their thoughts on whether it's good for gaming?

That being said, the BenQ SW271C also offers a fast response time of 5 ms which can help reduce ghosting and ensure smoother gameplay in most scenarios. The BenQ 27" SW271C has some great features that would make it suitable for gaming. It has an excellent resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a wide color gamut of 90% DCI-P3, which is perfect for immersive gameplay. However, its 60 Hz refresh rate might not be ideal for fast-paced games. @EverythingIsFine3. I was curious about the refresh rate of this monitor. It seems like it would be good for less intense games, but what about those high-paced ones?

The 60 Hz refresh rate might not be the best choice for competitive gaming where fast reflexes are necessary. However, if you're looking to relax and enjoy a casual gaming session, this monitor should do just fine. It really depends on your gaming preferences.

So it's more suited for relaxed or less intense gaming? Makes sense. I might have to reconsider my options then.

Thanks again, @EverythingIsFine3. I'll definitely check out the article you shared. Do you think a 5 ms response time is good enough for most games?

A 5 ms response time is generally considered good for gaming and should be sufficient for most players. It's not as fast as some higher-end monitors, but it should still provide smooth gameplay without significant issues.

Great to know! Thanks everyone for the input. I'll think about whether a 60 Hz refresh rate will suit my needs and if the SW271C is the right choice for me.
