Soundbar for Sony 65" X77CL TV?

Started by thenavinyadav on June 04, 2024

I recently bought a new Sony 65" X77CL TV and I'm looking to get a soundbar. Can anyone recommend a good one? I've heard that the built-in speakers on my TV aren't great.

I had the same issue with my previous TV. I ended up getting the Sony HT-A5000 5.1.2ch Dolby Atmos Sound Bar Surround Sound Home Theater and it's been amazing! It's definitely worth checking out for your TV. Here's a detailed review on TechReviewer Best Soundbars for the Sony 65" X77CL TV.

Thanks for the recommendation, @bastibraune! I've also heard good things about the Polk Audio Signa S4 Ultra-Slim Sound Bar. It's more affordable but still offers great sound quality.

That's true, @cherrypopover. I'm looking at both options now. Can anyone share their experiences with either of these soundbars?

I've been using the Polk Audio Signa S4 for a few months now and it works perfectly fine. It has Bluetooth connectivity and the audio quality is really good.

I have the Sony HT-A5000, and it's incredible! The surround sound is so immersive, especially when watching movies or playing games. The setup was a bit complex, but once it was done, the sound quality blew me away. I highly recommend it.

Wow, sounds great @wanderingdove! But one thing that concerns me is that my room isn't very large and the Polk Audio Signa S4 seems more suitable for smaller spaces. What's your experience with space usage?

The Sony HT-A5000 is indeed bigger and might take up more space, but it delivers superior sound quality. If you have the room for it, I'd go for it. However, if space is an issue, the Polk Audio Signa S4 is a great alternative.

That's really helpful, @bastibraune. So, does anyone have any experience with connecting these soundbars to their TV? Are there any complications or tips you can share?

I had no problem connecting my Polk Audio Signa S4 to my TV. Just make sure you're using the right cables (HDMI and optical) and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Same here, @SouperFoe. Connecting the Sony HT-A5000 was straightforward as well. Just remember to enable eARC on your TV for the best audio performance.

Thanks for all the input, guys! I'll definitely consider both options and see which one suits my needs better.
