Hi @StructurallySound! Yes, the Sony 43" BRAVIA X85J does support Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). You can find more information in this article HDMI Capabilities of the Sony 43" BRAVIA X85J TV.

Hi @Bama1996, I have one. The Sony 43" BRAVIA X85J has four HDMI ports in total, with two of them being HDMI 2.1 ports and the other two being HDMI 2.0 ports. I found a great article about it HDMI Capabilities of the Sony 43" BRAVIA X85J TV. It's been really helpful.

That's awesome! Thanks for the info, @HabaneroSauce. So, which devices should I connect to the HDMI 2.1 ports then?

Well, if you're using a gaming console or a PC with high refresh rate requirements, it would be best to connect those to the HDMI 2.1 ports. For other devices like Blu-ray players and soundbars, you can use the HDMI 2.0 ports.

I'm considering getting this TV. What about eARC support? Does it have that?

Great to know, @lillydo0808. Thanks for the link!

I'm really happy with my TV so far! The picture quality is amazing and the HDMI ports are very useful.

They definitely are. It's nice having a mix of both HDMI 2.0 and 2.1 ports for different devices.

Yeah, I'll probably go ahead and buy it then. Thanks for all the help!
