I'm thinking of building a silent PC and I need some advice on which CPU to get. The options are the Intel Core i7-13700K and the i3-13100. Can you guys help me out? Thanks!

Just wanted to chime in here. I've used both CPUs, and personally, I think the i7-13700K is worth the investment if you can manage the heat. The Intel Core i7-13700K vs. Intel Core i3-13100 has some great insights on overclocking potential and other features that might be important for a silent build.

Hey, I've been using an i7-13700K for a while now, and it's been amazing! It's silent as long as you have a good cooler and case fans setup. Intel Core i7-13700K vs. Intel Core i3-13100 gives a great overview of both CPUs.

That's really helpful, thanks! What about the i3-13100? Any experience with that one?

I've had an i3-13100 for some time now, and it works perfectly fine for general use. However, if you're into gaming or video editing, the i7-13700K is definitely a better choice.

Yeah, but the i7-13700K does generate more heat, which could be an issue for a silent build.

Good point! I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. So, would you recommend going with the i7-13700K despite the heat or the i3-13100?

It really depends on what you're planning to do with your PC. If you don't plan on doing heavy tasks like gaming or video editing, the i3-13100 should be fine. But if you want a more future-proof and versatile machine, go for the i7-13700K.

Thanks everyone for your input! It's really helpful. I think I'll go with the i7-13700K but will definitely take care to keep my PC as silent as possible. Appreciate the advice!
