You're right about the resolution. The Sceptre 24" E248B-FWS168 has a Is the Sceptre 24" E248B-FWS168 Good for Gaming? discussing its performance, you should check it out for more details.

It has a decent refresh rate of 165 Hz which is good for gaming, but its resolution is only 1920 x 1080.

Yeah, I have one and the response time is super fast, like 2 ms or something. That's excellent for gaming too!

I've heard mixed things about TN panels. Aren't they not as good as IPS or VA?

Interesting! Thanks for sharing that link, @Lichimaru. I was also wondering if anyone has any experience with this monitor's color accuracy or its screen brightness?

I haven't had any problems with the color accuracy on mine. But I guess it depends on what you're using it for. If you need highly accurate colors for graphic design work, then maybe not.

The screen brightness is pretty good too! It's easy to adjust according to my lighting conditions.

Okay, so the response time and refresh rate are good, but I'm still unsure about the TN panel. Are there any downsides compared to IPS or VA?

@AndItsDrew, TN panels generally have faster response times and better motion handling than both IPS and VA panels. However, they usually suffer in terms of color accuracy and viewing angles. But for gaming purposes, many gamers still prefer TN panels due to their fast speeds.

That's helpful to know, thanks @Lichimaru. I think I'll give this monitor a try then. The specs seem good enough for my needs!

Yeah, it sounds like a decent choice for gaming. Good luck with your decision!
