I'm thinking about getting a new TV and have been looking at the Samsung QN85B. Does anyone know if it supports connecting multiple devices simultaneously through HDMI ports? I could use some advice.

Yeah, that's totally possible with the Samsung QN85B. You can connect up to three HDMI 2.0 devices and one HDMI 2.1 device at the same time using its four HDMI ports - one of which is an HDMI 2.1 port. Check out this article for more info HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 75" QN85B TV.
Thanks, that's really helpful! So, if I wanted to connect a gaming console, soundbar, and Blu-ray player, would it be best to use the three HDMI 2.0 ports or the one HDMI 2.1 port?
Hey there! For the best performance, especially in gaming, you should definitely use the HDMI 2.1 port on the QN85B. It supports features like VRR and eARC which can greatly enhance your gaming experience. I've used it with my gaming setup and have been really pleased with the results.
Oh nice! I didn't realize the HDMI 2.1 port had those extra features. Thanks for the advice, @plisskenjones. So if I'm planning on using a soundbar, should I connect that to one of the HDMI 2.0 ports or is there another recommended method?
I recently bought the Samsung QN85B and connected my soundbar via the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port. It worked great for me. You can still use the eARC feature on your HDMI 2.1 port for your gaming console, while the ARC connection takes care of the sound from your other devices.
That's good to know! So I should connect my soundbar via the ARC port and my gaming console to the HDMI 2.1 port? Is that the optimal setup?
Yes, exactly! Connecting your soundbar through ARC will handle the audio from your other devices, while you can use the HDMI 2.1 port for your gaming console to take advantage of VRR and eARC features. My setup has been working fantastic!
Awesome, thanks everyone for the helpful advice! I think I'll go ahead and make the purchase now that I have a clear idea of how to set it up. Fingers crossed it works as well in reality as it does in theory!
