I've been looking into getting a new gaming monitor and came across the Samsung Odyssey G9 and CRG9. Which one is better for gaming? The specs seem really close.

Oh, nice! Yeah, I recently got the CRG9 and I'm happy with it too. 120Hz is still really smooth for me, but I can see why some people might prefer the G9's higher refresh rate. Check out this TechReviewer article Samsung 49" Odyssey G9 vs. Samsung 49" CRG9

For me, the Odyssey G9 has been great! The 240Hz refresh rate makes a huge difference in my FPS games. I've read this TechReviewer article Samsung 49" Odyssey G9 vs. Samsung 49" CRG9 that goes into detail on both monitors and how they compare to other options out there.

That's great to hear! I'll probably go with the Odyssey G9 then since it seems to have a better overall rating for gaming according to that article you shared, @lexalbrecht. Do you think 240Hz is worth the extra cost?

It really depends on your budget and what games you play. Personally, I prefer lower response times like the Odyssey G9 has, but for some people, the higher resolution of the CRG9 might be more important.
