I've been looking to buy a new gaming monitor and can't decide between the Samsung 32" G5 Odyssey and the AOC 31.5" CQ32G1. Has anyone here had experience with either of these monitors? Any recommendations would be helpful!
Samsung G5 vs AOC CQ32G1 Gaming Monitor

I have the Samsung 32" G5 Odyssey and I love it! The response time is incredibly low (1ms) which makes for super smooth gameplay, especially in fast-paced games. The only downside is that the stand isn't very adjustable.
I've used both of these monitors before, and they're both great choices! For me, the Samsung G5 had better color accuracy and a higher refresh rate (144Hz), which made a huge difference in my gaming experience. However, the AOC CQ32G1 has a larger screen size and better ergonomics. I'd recommend reading this TechReviewer article Samsung 32" G5 Odyssey vs. AOC 31.5" CQ32G1 for a more detailed comparison.
That's really helpful, thank you! The color accuracy and higher refresh rate on the Samsung G5 sound appealing. But I'm also concerned about space since my desk isn't that big. How does the CQ32G1 compare in terms of size?
The CQ32G1 is 31.5 inches, so it's slightly smaller than the G5's 32 inches. However, you'll still get that immersive gaming experience with its curved design and wide screen.
Just to add, if you're worried about space, you might also want to consider the Samsung S95C OLED soundbar Samsung 32" G5 Odyssey vs. AOC 31.5" CQ32G1. It has a great design and delivers high-quality sound for your gaming setup.
Great suggestion! I'll check out that soundbar. But back to my original question - what's your verdict on these two monitors? Which one would you choose if you could only have one?
It really depends on your priorities. If color accuracy and higher refresh rate are most important, go for the Samsung G5. But if space is a concern and you prefer better ergonomics, the AOC CQ32G1 might be the better choice.
I've been using the AOC CQ32G1 for a few months now, and it's served me well. The screen size is perfect for my setup, and the color accuracy is impressive. The only thing I'd change is the response time; 4ms isn't as good as the G5's 1ms.
Good point about the response time. It's something to consider when making your decision. In the end, it comes down to personal preference and what matters most in your gaming setup.
