The Samsung 85" QN90A has three HDMI 2.0 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port, which means you'll need an HDMI 2.1 cable for the best performance. Have you considered the Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable or the Monoprice 8K Certified Braided HDMI 2.1 Cable? Both are highly recommended.
Thanks for the advice, @Starshin3. I've been looking into the TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 85" QN90A TV about HDMI cables and how they work with Samsung TVs. It's really helpful for understanding what kind of cable to use for my TV.
@alexfish, that sounds interesting! Do you have any personal experience with these cables? Which one would you recommend?
@seharr96, I've used the Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable before, and it worked great. The Monoprice cable is also a good option, but I personally prefer the Anker one. It's sturdy and has never failed me.
I was in a similar situation as @seharr96 and ended up getting the Monoprice 8K Certified Braided HDMI 2.1 Cable. I chose it because of its durability and braided design. So far, it's been working well for me.
@Norfolkanchance, thanks for sharing your experience! It sounds like both cables are good options. I'll do some more research and make my decision. By the way, what are the differences between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1 ports on my TV?
@seharr96, the main difference is that HDMI 2.1 supports higher resolutions up to 10K, faster refresh rates for other resolutions, and additional features like VRR and eARC. This means your TV will be able to handle more demanding content with less lag and better image quality.
@seharr96, regarding the TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 85" QN90A TV I mentioned earlier, it goes into detail about these differences between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as their respective features. It might help you make your decision.
@alexfish, that's really helpful, thank you! I'll check out the article and see which cable is best for my needs. Thanks everyone for your input!
