I'm thinking of getting a Samsung 70" CU7000 TV and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it, particularly regarding HDMI port connectivity?
Samsung 70" CU7000 HDMI Port Connectivity

Hi @beatshead10! I've had the Samsung 70" CU7000 for about six months now. It's been great overall, but I can tell you that it does not support HDMI 2.1, which means no VRR and eARC.
Yeah, same here. I was hoping to get VRR for gaming, but alas. However, the TV still works well with my current setup, even without those features.
Just wanted to add that the refresh rate on this TV is 60Hz, which might be a bit low if you're into fast-paced gaming or content.
Thanks for all the input, guys. I was particularly curious about the best HDMI cables to pair with this TV. I found a TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 70" CU7000 TV that compares some top options. It might help in making an informed decision.
@cocoabeachbrews! That sounds helpful. How do you like your current setup with the CU7000?
My setup is working fine, but I did have to invest in a new cable since I needed something that supported HDMI 2.1 features for my gaming rig.
Same here. It's worth noting that even though this TV doesn't support eARC or VRR, the picture and sound quality are still impressive.
True! And the fact that it has three HDMI ports is a plus for me since I often need to connect multiple devices.
That's good to hear. The HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 70" CU7000 TV article I mentioned earlier also covers some cables suitable for TVs without eARC or VRR support, so you might find something useful there.
@cocoabeachbrews! I'll definitely check out that article before making my decision on the HDMI cable.
