Samsung 65" Q70C HDMI Ports?

Started by Chantington on June 05, 2024

I'm considering buying a Samsung 65" Q70C TV. Can anyone tell me more about its HDMI ports and if it supports HDMI 2.1? Thanks!

No problem, @Chantington! Just want to help you out. By the way, have you checked out TechReviewer's article on the best HDMI cables for this TV? Here's the link: HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 65" Q70C TV.

The Samsung 65" Q70C has four HDMI 2.1 ports, which should cover most of your needs. It also comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Great to know! I saw an article on TechReviewer discussing the HDMI capabilities of this TV. Here's the link for reference: HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 65" Q70C TV. The TV supports Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), which is really useful for gaming.

@ChrisTheGirl! That sounds great. I'm a gamer too, so having eARC and VRR support is a big plus for me. Do you know if it's possible to use different HDMI cables with the TV?

Yes, absolutely! The HDMI 2.1 ports are backward compatible with older HDMI versions, so you can still use them with older cables if needed.

I've been using a Samsung TV for a while now and love it. One thing to keep in mind is that while the Q70C does have four HDMI 2.1 ports, they might fill up quickly if you plan on connecting multiple devices like gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, etc.

That's good to know, @RambooPanda. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll make sure to plan my connections carefully.
