The Samsung 49" CRG9 has an impressive 120 Hz refresh rate, while the 32" Odyssey G7 boasts a 240 Hz refresh rate. In terms of display quality and smoothness, it really depends on your specific needs and preferences.
I have been using the 32" Odyssey G7 for a few months now, and I must say it's fantastic! The high refresh rate makes a huge difference in gaming and watching action-packed movies. It's definitely worth considering if you're looking for smooth visuals.
If you want an immersive experience with more screen real estate, the Samsung 49" CRG9 might be a better choice. But if you prefer a smaller, more focused display with high color accuracy and faster response time, go for the Odyssey G7. I found this TechReviewer article Samsung 49" CRG9 vs. Samsung 32" Odyssey G7 quite helpful in making my decision. It goes into detail about both monitors' features and performance.
@NattyGoat, for your input! And, @MademoiselleVeritas, for sharing that link! After reading it, I've realized that the Odyssey G7's higher refresh rate and faster response time would suit my needs better. However, I'm still debating between the 32" and a larger screen like the LG 27GP95G-B.
It ultimately comes down to your preferences and what you'll primarily use the monitor for. If gaming and watching action-packed content is your main goal, the Odyssey G7 seems like the better choice. But if you need more screen space for multitasking or other activities, the CRG9 could be a great option.
I agree with @kerumeru. It's important to consider what you'll mostly use the monitor for. The TechReviewer article Samsung 49" CRG9 vs. Samsung 32" Odyssey G7 also provides comparisons and reviews of other monitors that might help you in your decision-making process.
