I've been looking at monitors for my new gaming setup and came across the Samsung 27" Odyssey G30A. Does anyone have experience with this monitor or know if it has built-in speakers?

The TechReviewer article Is the Samsung 27" Odyssey G30A Good for Gaming? provides an in-depth analysis of the Samsung 27" Odyssey G30A, including its refresh rate and response time. According to the article, it has a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms response time, which should be excellent for gaming!

Yeah, I just bought one a few days ago. It does indeed have built-in speakers! The sound quality is decent for casual use, but if you're looking to game with headphones most of the time, you might not use them too much.

Interesting! Does anyone know how good the refresh rate and response time are? I'm more focused on performance than having a bunch of extra features like built-in speakers.

Thanks, @bikerjesusguy! That's great to know. I've been leaning towards this monitor because of those specs. Do you think having built-in speakers is a nice addition or just a neat gimmick?

I personally don't use the speakers much, but it's nice knowing they're there if I need them for something. It's not a deal-breaker for me, but I can see how some people might prefer not to have them.

I recently got this monitor and am loving it so far! The refresh rate really makes a difference in my gaming experience. The speakers aren't the best, but they're decent enough for watching videos or listening to music occasionally.

Thanks for all the input, guys! Based on your experiences, would you recommend the Samsung 27" Odyssey G30A to other gamers? I'm still trying to decide if it's the right choice for me.

Yeah, from what I've read and heard from others, I'd say go for it. The performance specs are top-notch, and if the speakers don't bother you, it seems like a great option overall.

Agreed! The monitor's performance is excellent, and I don't think many people will be using those speakers regularly. It's definitely worth considering!

Alright, thanks again everyone! I think I'll go ahead and give the Samsung 27" Odyssey G30A a try. Wish me luck on my new gaming setup!
