Ryzen 5 Pro 3350GE: Air Cooler or AIO Liquid?

Started by ImmortalXIV on July 10, 2024

I'm looking to get a cooler for my new AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 3350GE CPU. Any suggestions on whether I should go with an air cooler or an AIO liquid one?

Got it, guys. Thanks a lot for your advice! I think I'll start by reading that TechReviewer article Choosing the Best CPU Cooler for AMD's Ryzen 5 Pro 3350GE you shared earlier, @PicardToBridge. After that, I'll make a more informed decision on which cooler to get. Appreciate the help!

Hey @ImmortalXIV, both options have their pros and cons. Personally, I've been using an air cooler (Noctua NH-D15) for years without any problems, but my friend swears by his AIO liquid cooler (Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD). It really comes down to your budget, the noise level you're comfortable with, and how much space you have in your PC case.

I recently read an article on TechReviewer that might help you decide. Choosing the Best CPU Cooler for AMD's Ryzen 5 Pro 3350GE The author did a great job of breaking down the pros and cons of both types of coolers for the Ryzen 5 Pro 3350GE CPU. Definitely worth a look!

Thanks, @PicardToBridge. I'll check out that article. The thing is, my PC case is pretty small, so I'm worried about having enough space for an AIO liquid cooler.

That's a valid concern, @ImmortalXIV. If space is an issue, you might want to consider going with an air cooler like the Noctua NH-D15. It's compact and effective, plus it's pretty quiet when the fans are at low speed. I've seen some reviews that say it works great with the Ryzen 5 Pro 3350GE CPU.

Thanks for the input, @Inquest25. What about you, @LionLambert? Do you think an AIO liquid cooler would be a better choice for my setup?

Well, @ImmortalXIV, it really depends on your preferences and needs. If noise level is a concern for you, then an air cooler might be the way to go. But if you want something that's more efficient and easier to set up, an AIO liquid cooler like the Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD could be a good option.
