I'm building a computer with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600E and need help choosing the right RAM for it. Any recommendations?
Ryzen 5 2600E - Picking Right RAM?
Started by Venatator on May 13, 2024
I recently bought a Ryzen 5 2600E CPU and have been using Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) 3600 MHz DDR4 RAM, which works great with my build.
The Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666 MHz DDR4 is also good for the Ryzen 5 2600E. I've been using it in my gaming PC and have had no issues.
Both Corsair models are excellent options for the AMD Ryzen 5 2600E, but if you're looking for overclocking potential, the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz DDR4 might be a better choice. Thanks for the suggestions! I was specifically wondering, is there any significant difference in performance between the 2666 MHz and the 3600 MHz models?
The main difference between the two is their clock speeds. The Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz DDR4 offers an overclocked speed compared to the 2666 MHz model. However, both options should work well with the Ryzen 5 2600E CPU.
I think it really depends on what you need for your specific use case. If you're doing a lot of gaming or content creation, the higher clock speeds might make a noticeable difference. But if you're mostly browsing and general computing, you probably won't see much of a performance boost.
@HarlemRobeSpotter That's true. It's also worth considering that DDR5 is now available, but since the Ryzen 5 2600E supports only DDR4, it might be more cost-effective to go with one of these Corsair models for now.
I'll do some more research and see which RAM fits my budget and needs best. Appreciate your help!
@Venatator No problem! Good luck with your build, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions along the way.
