I'm considering buying an AMD Ryzen 3 Pro 3200G CPU for gaming. Has anyone had any experience with it?

As @Liolaina mentioned, you should check out this TechReviewer article Is the Ryzen 3 Pro 3200G CPU Good for Gaming? for more information on the Ryzen 3 Pro 3200G's performance. It discusses in detail how the CPU performs with different aspects like its cache size, cores, frequencies, and DDR support. I found it really helpful when I was looking into getting one.

Hi @philoutcz, the Ryzen 3 Pro 3200G is good for office work and multitasking due to its 4 cores, but I'm not sure about gaming performance. Have you seen Is the Ryzen 3 Pro 3200G CPU Good for Gaming??

Thanks for the input @Liolaina. I was more focused on eSports and MOBA games actually. The TechReviewer article says that it has a poor L3 cache size of 4 MB, lack of overclocking support, and PCIe 3.0 limitations which might affect its gaming performance.

Yeah, I've been using the Ryzen 3 Pro 3200G for some time now. It's decent for MOBAs like League of Legends, but it struggles with more graphics-intensive games. The 4.0 GHz single-core max boost frequency helps a bit though.

That's good to know @Misteren. I'm mostly interested in MOBA and eSports games, so I guess it might be okay for me then. But what about the DDR support?

Thanks @wheresthelimit! This is very useful info for me. The article says that if I get a high-end cooler and appropriate DDR4 memory, the CPU could provide satisfactory results for my desired games. That sounds promising!

Yeah, it's all about finding the right balance with your setup. Good luck with your decision @philoutcz!
