I'm looking to buy a new CPU and I came across the AMD Ryzen 3 Pro 2200GE. Does anyone know what its TDP is? I want to make sure I choose a cooler that's suitable for it.

Thanks for the info, @cryptolaxy. I found a TechReviewer article that discusses this further. You can check it out here: What Is the TDP of the Ryzen 3 Pro 2200GE CPU?.

The Ryzen 3 Pro 2200GE has a base TDP of 35 watts and a PPT limit of 48 watts. That means the CPU will consume a maximum of 35 watts at its base frequency, but can go up to 48 watts when under heavy load.

That's really helpful! So what does TDP and PPT mean exactly? And how important are they when building a PC?

TDP stands for Thermal Design Power, which measures the amount of heat a cooling system needs to dissipate to avoid overheating. PPT (Package Power Tracking) is an AMD CPU feature that monitors power consumption and reduces performance if the limit is exceeded to prevent overheating.

Good to know! I've always been curious about these things. So, for the Ryzen 3 Pro 2200GE, would you recommend a specific cooler or power supply?

For the Ryzen 3 Pro 2200GE, I'd go with an air cooler that can handle at least 65-75 watts TDP. As for the power supply, make sure it has a wattage rating higher than the PPT limit, which is 48 watts in this case.

Based on your advice, I'll look into some coolers and power supplies that meet those specs. Appreciate the help!
