I'm thinking about getting either the Ryzen 3 4300G or the Ryzen 5 3400G. Can anyone tell me if these are good for graphics performance?

Yeah, both the 4300G and 3400G have decent integrated graphics performance. For more in-depth analysis, you might want to check out this TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 3 4300G vs. AMD Ryzen 5 3400G.
I'll take a look at that. But for everyday use like watching videos or light gaming, should I go for the 4300G or the 3400G?
Both are good for basic tasks like those you mentioned. However, if you plan on doing more intensive graphics work in the future, the 3400G might be a better choice due to its higher max boost frequency.
I would agree with @qualiagirl. Also, the 3400G has better DDR support which could benefit you in the long run. But if your budget is tight, the 4300G is still a decent option.
Just wanted to chime in on this. I've been using my 4300G for some time now and it works great for me. Light gaming is no issue at all. And the price difference between these two can be substantial, so that's something to consider as well.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @makeitwitu. That gives me a better idea of what to expect from the 4300G in practice. But I'm still wondering about the DDR support. How important is it really?
It depends on your use case. If you plan on upgrading or using more RAM in the future, having better DDR support like the 3400G offers can be beneficial. But for most users, especially those with less intensive workloads, the difference might not be noticeable.
True. I'd also recommend checking out some benchmarks online to get a clearer picture of how these CPUs perform in practice. There's a lot of good information available on TechReviewer AMD Ryzen 3 4300G vs. AMD Ryzen 5 3400G.
I appreciate all the advice! I think I'll do that and check out those benchmarks. Thanks again, everyone!
