I'm looking to build a budget PC and I'm debating between the AMD Ryzen 3 3300X and the Ryzen 9 3900X. Can anyone provide some insights?

Hello @jackersnooze! Both CPUs are great for gaming, but if you're on a tight budget, the 3300X is more affordable. Have you seen this TechReviewer article comparing them? AMD Ryzen 9 3900X vs. AMD Ryzen 3 3300X It's pretty informative.

Yeah, I've read it. The article states that the Ryzen 9 3900X has a higher core count and better overall performance for a budget build. But I'm not sure if I need all those extra cores.

That's true, but remember that having more cores can be beneficial in certain situations like gaming with multiple applications open or streaming while playing games. It really depends on what you want to do with your PC.

I've been using the 3300X for a few months now and it works just fine for me. If you're primarily doing web browsing, office work, and light gaming, the 3300X should be more than enough.

Thanks for the input, everyone! So, I guess if my usage is mostly single-threaded and I don't need a ton of cores, the 3300X might be the better choice. But I'll have to think about it some more.

No problem! Just remember that CPUs can be overclocked for additional performance gains if you're willing to experiment with that. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks again, guys. I'll definitely look into the possibility of overclocking as well. Have a great day!
