The TechReviewer article Which Chipsets Work With AMD's Ryzen 5 3500X CPU? discusses which chipsets are compatible with the Ryzen 5 3500X processor. You'll need a motherboard with an AM4 socket and a compatible chipset.
Thanks for sharing that link, @Beto1989. I checked it out and now I'm more confused than ever. It seems like there are so many options available.
Yeah, picking the right one can be daunting. I went with the B450 chipset for my Ryzen 5 3500X build and haven't faced any issues yet. The performance has been great!
I used the X570 chipset with my Ryzen 5 3500X, and it's been amazing so far. The PCIe 4.0 support really makes a difference in gaming and other tasks.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, @KsGaming2 and @zoulkyud. Both of you are using different chipsets, but they seem to be working well for you. I'm still unsure about which one would be best for my needs.
Well, it really depends on your budget and what features you prioritize the most. If PCIe 4.0 support is important to you, then X570 might be worth considering. Otherwise, B450 could be a more budget-friendly option that still offers great performance.
True, @Beto1989. I opted for B450 because it was more affordable and met my needs at the time. It's been a good choice for me so far.
