Recommended RAM Speed for Intel Core i5-13600T?

Started by PickleOh on June 14, 2024

I'm in the process of building a new computer and I need some advice. I've chosen the Intel Core i5-13600T as my CPU, and I was wondering what RAM speed would be best for it. Any recommendations?

I've been using the Corsair Vengeance DDR5 4800 MHz with my i5-13600T, and I must say it's been working great so far! The performance has been top-notch, especially for gaming. You can check out a detailed review in this TechReviewer article Best RAM for the Intel Core i5-13600T CPU.

Hi @PickleOh! For your Intel Core i5-13600T, you might want to consider Corsair Vengeance DDR5 4800 MHz with 32 GB capacity. It's a great option for intensive tasks such as gaming, content creation, and video editing. You can find the details in this TechReviewer article Best RAM for the Intel Core i5-13600T CPU.

Thanks for the suggestion, @triple-t-type! I've been looking at that RAM before but wasn't sure if it would be compatible with my CPU. Do you have any experience using it with an Intel Core i5-13600T?

Hey @PickleOh, I recently upgraded to an i5-13600T and used the G.Skill RipJaws S5 5200 MHz RAM. It's a bit faster than the Corsair Vengeance DDR5 you mentioned, but it's also more expensive. You'll have to decide if the extra speed is worth it for your needs.

Solution

Thanks for the input, @Stuffedbunny. That's good to know! But what about the RAM speed? Is 4800 MHz enough or should I go for something faster like the G.Skill RipJaws S5 mentioned by @spencerfitch?

@PickleOh, both options are good in their own way. The Corsair Vengeance DDR5 4800 MHz offers a great balance between speed and affordability, while the G.Skill RipJaws S5 5200 MHz provides faster performance but at a higher cost. Ultimately, it depends on your budget and what you prioritize more.

Another thing to consider is that the Intel Core i5-13600T has DDR5 support, so you can't go wrong with either option. Just make sure to check compatibility with your motherboard before making a purchase.

Thanks for all the advice! I'll definitely do some more research on these options and ensure they're compatible with my build. Appreciate everyone's help!

You're welcome, @PickleOh. Good luck with your new computer build! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
