I've recently bought an Intel Core i3-9100F CPU and I'm looking to upgrade my RAM. Could anyone recommend the best RAM compatible with this CPU?

The Core i3-9100F supports DDR4 memory, so you'll need to find a DDR4 RAM module. As per TechReviewer article Best RAM for the Intel Core i3-9100F CPU, for optimal performance, it's recommended to use 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4 RAM with a speed of up to 2400 MT/s.

I'd also recommend considering Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz DDR4 RAM if you plan to overclock your system. It has great performance and is compatible with the Core i3-9100F.

Thanks for the recommendations! How do these two options compare in terms of speed, capacity, and price?

The G.Skill Ripjaws V 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM offers a good balance between performance and price. It's a dependable option for everyday tasks like gaming, content creation, and video editing.

On the other hand, Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz DDR4 RAM is designed for those who want to overclock their RAM to higher speeds. However, it's slightly more expensive than the G.Skill Ripjaws V.

What about the difference in latency and timings between these two options?

The G.Skill Ripjaws V has a latency of 12 ns (CL15) with timings of 15-15-15-35, while the Corsair Vengeance LPX has a latency of 10 ns (CL18) with timings of 18-22-22-42. The Corsair Vengeance LPX has slightly lower latency but also higher clock speed, making it better for overclocking.

One thing to note is that DDR4 is not as advanced as DDR5 and may not offer the same level of performance in some instances. But both G.Skill Ripjaws V and Corsair Vengeance LPX are great options for the Core i3-9100F CPU.

@Mazekitty and @alexisdevaul. Based on your suggestions, I think I'll go for the G.Skill Ripjaws V. It seems to offer a good balance between performance and price, and since I don't plan to overclock my system, it should be perfect for me.

That's a wise choice! Just make sure you get a RAM that has an Intel XMP 2.0 profile, as it will ensure optimal compatibility with the Core i3-9100F CPU. And remember, always check your motherboard's documentation to confirm compatibility before purchasing any RAM.

Good point @apieceofbrownie. I'll definitely do that. Thanks everyone for your valuable suggestions!
