I'm building a new PC and I need some advice on the best power supply unit (PSU) for an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G CPU. Has anyone had any experience with this or can recommend a good one?

I've been using an EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series Fully Modular Power Supply (220-G5-0650-X1) with my Ryzen 5 3400G setup, and it's been working great so far. Highly recommended!
I went for a Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series 80+ Gold Full Modular ATX 3.0 PCIe Gen 5 Power Supply with my Ryzen 5 3400G, and it has served me well. The performance is excellent!
Don't forget to check out the TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Power Supply for AMD's Ryzen 5 3400G CPU for a detailed comparison of different power supply units. It could help you make an informed decision.
@fluxus42, thanks for the link! I'm definitely going to take a look at it. By the way, does anyone know if these two power supplies are good options for mid-tier components?
@iamgenji, yes, both of those power supplies should work great for mid-tier components. The EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series is a reliable choice with excellent efficiency and build quality.
I can vouch for the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 as well. It's compatible with my Ryzen 5 3400G and other mid-tier components without any issues. Just make sure to tighten all the screws properly during installation, or it might cause some overheating problems.
@iamgenji, you should also consider the Corsair SF Power Supplies if you're looking for something more budget-friendly. They work well with mid-tier components and provide consistent performance.
Based on my experience, I'd recommend going for a power supply unit with higher efficiency ratings and additional wattage headroom for reliability and stability. You can check out the latest prices of the 450–750 watt Corsair SF Power Supplies on Amazon Choosing the Best Power Supply for AMD's Ryzen 5 3400G CPU if you're interested. Additionally, don't forget to add a 100-150 watt buffer for future expansions.
@amsmoviepool, that's great advice! I'll definitely keep that in mind when choosing my PSU. Thanks everyone for your input! I think I'm a bit more confident about picking the right power supply now.
No problem, @iamgenji! Good luck with your build and feel free to ask if you have any more questions along the way. Happy building!
Same here, good luck with your new PC, @iamgenji. And remember, always double-check your power requirements before making a final decision.
@amsmoviepool, thanks for the detailed response! I'll make sure to keep that in mind as well. Have a great day!
You're welcome, everyone! Happy building and have fun with your new systems!
