I've recently purchased an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G CPU and I'm looking to pair it with the best motherboard. Can you recommend some features that I should look for? Also, has anyone tried any specific brands or models?

Thanks everyone for the insights! I'll definitely check out the TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Motherboard for AMD's Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G and consider these factors while choosing my new motherboard. Any final tips or recommendations?

Welcome! For your Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G, you'll need a motherboard with an AM4 socket and a compatible chipset like X570, B550, A520, X470, or B450. The X570 is recommended due to its most functionality. Make sure the motherboard has a video output port (HDMI), enough M.2 slots and SATA ports, ample USB ports with high bandwidth rates, audio outputs, and compatibility with your desired computer case form factor.

@raisinBranCrunch1, I found this TechReviewer article that discusses the best features for AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G motherboards. Check it out Choosing the Best Motherboard for AMD's Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G. They've also provided some recommendations like MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI and ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) as the Best Feature and Best Value Motherboards, respectively.

Thanks @CharlieLeaPavory! That's really helpful. I was particularly interested in storage options like M.2 slots and SATA ports, as well as USB connectivity and audio outputs. Do you have any experience with those aspects on your current motherboard?

@raisinBranCrunch1, the ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) has been great for me in terms of storage. It offers 3 x M.2 slots and 6 SATA ports, which gives plenty of options for SSDs and HDDs. In terms of USB connectivity, it provides 10 USB ports, including 5 at USB 3.2 Gen 1 and 4 at USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Great to know @MathRamp! I also need a motherboard with HDMI output for the integrated graphics support. Would you recommend checking out the X570 chipset specifically?

Absolutely, @raisinBranCrunch1. The X570 chipset is our recommended choice for Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G due to its most functionality and the ability to upgrade to a newer AM4 CPU in the future.

Just a quick addition here - if you're considering mini-ITX or MicroATX form factors, they generally have fewer PCIe card slots, fewer RAM slots, and can't support as many storage devices. ATX is usually more suitable for building a full-sized desktop PC.

Solution

@raisinBranCrunch1, just remember to ensure that your chosen motherboard is compatible with your computer case form factor. That's an often-overlooked aspect but can save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

And don't forget to pay attention to the number of PCIe expansion slots based on chipset flexibility and Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G's PCIe 3.0 support.

Good points! I'll keep all these factors in mind while making my decision. Thanks again for your help, everyone!

You're welcome, @raisinBranCrunch1. Best of luck with your new build!
