I'm looking to build a new PC with the Intel Core i9-11900F CPU. Can you recommend a good chipset? I've been researching but it's getting confusing.

I've been reading a lot about this topic on TechReviewer. They have an excellent article discussing which chipsets are compatible with the Core i9-11900F. You can find it here: Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i9-11900F. It might be helpful to check that out!

The Z590 chipset is highly recommended for the Intel Core i9-11900F. It provides flexibility when paired with the CPU and allows multiple PCIe 4.0 graphics cards in the dual x8 configuration. You might also want to consider H570, B560, H510, W580, Q570, Z490, H470, W480, and Q470 chipsets.

Solution

Thanks for the info, @OrangeCatHatPat! I'll definitely look into those options. And thanks for sharing the TechReviewer article, @Zeberlicious! That should give me a good starting point.

Don't forget about the ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero Z590 and ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi if you're looking for quality motherboards. They're known for their performance and durability.

Those two options sound great! Thanks @Viklord17. I'll make sure to check them out when I start shopping for a motherboard.

Just keep in mind that the 11900F doesn't support overclocking since it lacks a "K" suffix. You might not need to use the top-of-the-line Z590 or Z490 chipsets, and you can opt for other 500 or 400-series desktop chipsets instead.

Good point @OrangeCatHatPat. Thanks for reminding me about that. I'll take it into account when making my decision.

Another thing to consider is the number of M.2 slots, SATA ports, and PCIe card slots you might need. The Z590 chipset supports the most PCIe 3.0 lanes, so you're likely to find motherboards with this chipset having the most x4 NVMe M.2 slots available.

That's helpful advice @Zeberlicious. I'll make sure to check the specifications of the motherboards I'm looking at to ensure they meet my storage and expansion needs.

Also, don't forget about connectivity options like USB ports, audio outputs, and video output ports. The Z590 chipset supports the most USB ports at USB 3.2 2x2 (20 Gbps), USB 3.2 2x1 (10 Gbps), and USB 3.2 1x1 (5 Gbps) speeds.

Great advice @OrangeCatHatPat. I'll keep that in mind when comparing different chipsets and motherboards.

Lastly, make sure to choose a form factor that fits your PC case and overall build plan. ATX is the most common, but Mini-ITX and MicroATX are options if you're building a smaller system.

Thanks for all the tips, everyone! I'll definitely use this information to help me make an informed decision on the best chipset and motherboard for my Intel Core i9-11900F build.
