Q70A Input Lag Times?

Started by ET2South on May 15, 2024

I recently bought a Samsung 75" Q70A TV and I'm having trouble with the input lag times. Can anyone share their experiences or provide some advice on how to reduce it? I've read mixed reviews about this issue.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to check out HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 75" Q70A TV from TechReviewer and experiment with the settings suggested by @DrNoesis. Hopefully, this will help reduce my input lag issue. Fingers crossed!

I've had my Q70A for a few months now, and I must say that the input lag is acceptable for me when playing games. However, if you're looking for the lowest possible latency, you might want to check out TechReviewer's article HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 75" Q70A TV discussing different TV models with lower input lag times.

I agree with @benjavision. The Q70A has decent input lag, but it's not the best out there. You may want to consider getting a gaming monitor if ultra-low input lag is crucial for your setup.

I've been using my Q70A for gaming and haven't faced any significant issues with input lag. It's worth noting that input lag can be affected by settings like motion interpolation and game mode, which you should try turning on/off to see if it makes a difference.

Great, good luck @kunkunkun! Let us know how it goes and if you find any other tips for reducing input lag on the Q70A.

I'm also interested in knowing if there are any firmware updates that could potentially improve the input lag times. Has anyone tried updating their Q70A's software to see if it makes a difference?

Good point, @andrewmcdonough. I've updated my Q70A recently and haven't noticed much of a change in input lag, but it's worth giving it a try if you haven't already.

Same here. I updated my Q70A after reading about the update online, but there wasn't any significant improvement in input lag. It still performs well for gaming purposes, though.

Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions! I'll give updating and playing around with settings a shot and see if it makes a difference. I appreciate the advice!

Good luck, @ET2South. Remember that every TV is different, so what works for one person might not work for another. Keep experimenting until you find the best setup for your needs.

Thanks, @hotsRenegade! I'll definitely keep trying different settings and see if there are any other factors affecting my input lag issue. Fingers crossed!

Will do, @kunkunkun. If anyone else has any tips or experiences with the Q70A's input lag, feel free to share them! I'm always open to learning more.

Good luck, @ET2South! Just remember that some amount of input lag is normal, and if your gaming experience is still enjoyable, it might not be a big deal. Don't get too caught up in the numbers!

True words from @benjavision. As long as you're having fun while playing games, input lag shouldn't be a major concern. Just make sure to enjoy your TV and gaming experience!

You're right, @DrNoesis and @benjavision. I'll remember that even if the input lag isn't perfect, it's still a great TV for my needs. Thanks again everyone for your advice!
