I'm building a new PC with an Intel Core i9-9900 CPU and I need some advice on choosing the best power supply. Any recommendations?

@James3703 makes a good point, but also consider efficiency. A higher efficiency PSU can save you money on electricity bills in the long run. Check out this TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Power Supply for Intel's Core i9-9900 CPU for more information.

It really depends on your specific components and usage. Generally, for high-end systems like yours, you'll want something in the 750W to 1650W range.

Solution

Thanks for the suggestions! What about compatibility? How important is it?

Compatibility is key. Make sure your PSU has enough connectors for all your components, and if possible, choose a modular design so you can customize cable management.

@vangogeo is right. Also, make sure to leave some room for future upgrades or overclocking. You don't want to be stuck with an underpowered PSU later on.

Good advice! Thanks everyone. I'll do some research and see what fits my needs best.

Just one more thing to consider - warranty. Some power supplies offer longer warranties than others, which can save you money in the long run if something goes wrong.

@compasscreative is spot on. A good warranty can make all the difference. Good luck with your build!
