@CyaeLDobson Make sure your power supply has the necessary connectors for your CPU, motherboard, GPU, RAM, and storage devices. The article Choosing the Best Power Supply for Intel's Core i7-14700F CPU also discusses some of these aspects in detail.

Great choice! When selecting a power supply for your i7-14700F, you should pay attention to wattage, efficiency certification (e.g., 80 PLUS), and connectors. Also, here's an article on TechReviewer that might help: Choosing the Best Power Supply for Intel's Core i7-14700F CPU.

@vanessasublime, thanks for the tips! I'm looking at power supplies with a range of 750-1650 watts. Is there any recommended wattage for this CPU?

@CyaeLDobson If you check out the TechReviewer article @vanessasublime mentioned, it can give you an idea of how much power your i7-14700F and other components would need. Generally speaking, a PSU with 650-1000 watts should be sufficient for this CPU.

@HyperionGM, that's helpful. I'm also considering the efficiency certification. Which level is recommended?

I'd recommend going for at least an 80 PLUS Gold certified power supply for better energy efficiency and reliability. It might cost a bit more upfront, but it can save you money on electricity bills in the long run.

@James3703, that makes sense. And what about connectors? I'm not sure if my components will need specific ones or not.

Solution

It's true that having a good mix of connectors is important. Additionally, make sure you have enough PCIe slots for any expansion cards you might want to use in the future.

@HyperionGM, thanks for the advice. I'll definitely keep those factors in mind while selecting my power supply.
