I've been looking at getting a new monitor and came across the Philips 278E1A. Does anyone have experience with it or know if it's good for gaming? The resolution seems amazing!

Hey @AxentKishou, it's a great monitor! I've used one for a few months now, and the picture quality is excellent. It has a 4K resolution, which makes everything look so sharp and clear. As for gaming, it works fine for me, but you might want to check out this article on TechReviewer that talks about its gaming performance Is the Philips 27" 278E1A Good for Gaming?.
I've been using one of these monitors for a couple of weeks now, and I can confirm that the 4K resolution really does make a difference. However, I did notice that the refresh rate is only 60 Hz, which might not be ideal for some gamers.
Thanks for the input, @Defication and @lumberjackshirt. That's good to know about the resolution. As for the refresh rate, how much of an impact does it have on gaming performance?
I've been using the Philips 278E1A in a curved setup, and it works great! The only thing I noticed is that the monitor doesn't support 120 Hz, which might be a downside for some gamers. But overall, I'm really happy with the picture quality and gaming experience.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @lambdapyro. That's interesting about the refresh rate limitation. I guess it depends on the type of games you play. For me, it works fine.
Thanks everyone for the insights! I think I'll give it a try and see if it works well for my setup. Appreciate your help!
Good luck with your decision, @AxentKishou. Let us know how you like it after you've tried it out.
