I'm currently trying to decide between the BenQ 27" PD2700U and the BenQ 27" PD2700Q for gaming. Can anyone recommend which one is better? I've heard that the refresh rate isn't the best, but what about response time?
PD2700U vs PD2700Q - Best for Gaming?

Both monitors have a decent response time, with the PD2700Q being slightly better at 4ms compared to the PD2700U's 5ms. However, neither of them has an exceptional response time for gaming, which is usually around 1-2ms.
That's true. For me, the main difference between these two monitors comes down to resolution. The PD2700U has a higher resolution (3840x2160), while the PD2700Q has a lower one (2560x1440). Which do you think is more important for gaming?
I see. A higher resolution might be better for watching movies and browsing, but I'm more concerned about gaming performance right now.
Well, in that case, the PD2700Q could be a better choice due to its lower resolution and better response time. It's also worth noting that it has a slightly smaller screen size, which might be more suitable for smaller desks or workspaces.
I agree with @gluczkowski2. The PD2700Q seems like the better option for gaming in terms of response time and screen size. However, I'm still curious about the difference in resolution. How much of an impact does it have on gaming performance?
Higher resolutions can provide more detailed images and smoother graphics in games, but they also require more powerful hardware to run smoothly. If you're not worried about having the most detailed image possible, then a lower resolution might be sufficient for your needs.

@Milkopilko. I'll definitely check out that article. But overall, would you say the PD2700Q is the better option for gaming?
The PD2700Q seems like a safer bet in terms of response time and screen size. However, if you're willing to invest in more powerful hardware later on, the PD2700U's higher resolution could be worth considering.
That makes sense. I think I'll start with the PD2700Q and see how it goes. Thanks for all the input!
