Optimal Mount for 27" LG 27UL500-W?

Started by pugacheva on June 20, 2024

I recently bought a new LG monitor - the 27" 27UL500-W. I'm looking for some advice on the best mount to use with it. Can you recommend something that's both sturdy and easy to set up?

Hi @pugacheva! I've been using the HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount for my LG monitor, and it's been working great so far. It's quite sturdy and has a VESA size of 100 x 100 mm, which should be compatible with your 27UL500-W. The assembly was pretty straightforward too. Solution

I've also had good experiences with the Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount for my larger monitor. It can handle weights up to 36 lbs and has a VESA size of 100 x 100 mm, which should work with your LG 27UL500-W as well. The adjustability is fantastic, and it's fairly easy to set up.

Thanks for the suggestions, @jonahcarlson and @Matt3124! Both of these mounts seem promising. However, I'm a bit concerned about the weight capacity since my monitor weighs around 11 lbs. Is that enough to cause any issues with either of these mounts?

Hey @pugacheva! Good question. The weight of your monitor shouldn't be an issue for either of those mounts as they are designed to handle weights up to 22-36 lbs, which is much more than what your monitor weighs. The VESA compatibility should also ensure a snug fit for your LG 27UL500-W.

@pugacheva, just to add, the HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount is specifically designed for monitors with weights up to 22 lbs and VESA sizes between 75 x 75 mm and 100 x 100 mm. So it should work perfectly fine for your LG 27UL500-W.

Great, thanks for the clarification @jonahcarlson! I'll probably go ahead and get the HUANUO mount then. Any tips on cable management while setting up?

@pugacheva, you're welcome! As for cable management, most mounts like the HUANUO come with built-in cable clips or holes to help keep things organized. You might need to purchase additional cable organizers if your setup requires longer cables.

@pugacheva, another thing to consider is that some mounts have adjustable arm lengths, which can be beneficial for keeping cables out of the way. That way, you can position the monitor closer or farther away from the wall depending on where your cords are coming from.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I think I'll go with the HUANUO mount and see how it works out. Fingers crossed that it meets my expectations!

Glad to help, @pugacheva! Good luck with your new setup, and if you have any questions or need more suggestions in the future, feel free to ask!
