I'm looking for the best monitor mount for my new HP OMEN 32q. Has anyone found a good one that offers optimal height adjustments?
Optimal Height for HP OMEN 32q Mount?
Started by Acrophagist on May 03, 2024
Hi @Acrophagist, I've been using an Ergotron LX desk mount for my monitor and it's been working great. It has a wide range of height adjustment, as well as tilt and swivel features.
I went with the VIVO GT Monitor Stand for my setup. The height is adjustable and it also provides cable management options. I find it works well with my HP OMEN 32q monitor.
Another good option to consider is the HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount. It has a decent range of height adjustment and supports most VESA sizes, including the one for your HP OMEN 32q.
If you want more details on different options, I found a great article on TechReviewer comparing various monitor mounts for the HP OMEN 32q. Check it out here: Monitor Mounts & Stands for HP's 31.5" OMEN 32q. It covers everything from wall mounts to desk stands and even includes some budget-friendly options.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! The HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount sounds interesting, but I'm still wondering if there's a way to determine the optimal height for my specific setup. Any tips?
@Acrophagist, one thing you could do is measure the distance from your eyes to where your monitor would sit when placed on your desk. This will give you an idea of how high you need it to be. You can also adjust it over time based on what feels most comfortable.
Another factor to consider is the height of your desk. The optimal height for a monitor mount depends on both the distance from your eyes and the height of your desk. Make sure to account for that when choosing a mount.
I agree with @cocoabeachbrews and @CrissyEU. It's also important to make sure you're sitting in a position that's good for your posture. You don't want to end up slouching or straining to see the screen.
Thanks for all the advice! So, is there any rule of thumb or general guideline on how high a monitor should be from the ground level?
@Acrophagist, there isn't really a one-size-fits-all answer since everyone's height and desk setup will be different. However, as a general rule, most people find that their monitor should be at eye level or slightly below when sitting in their chair. You might need to experiment with different heights to find what works best for you.
That makes sense. I'll try some of the suggestions here and see how it goes. Thanks again everyone!
