I'm looking to buy a motherboard for my new PC build. It'll be an Intel Core i9-9900K CPU. Can you give me some advice on what to look for?

There's a TechReviewer article that goes in-depth on this topic. You should check it out Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i9-9900K. It covers everything you need to know about choosing the best motherboard for your i9-9900K CPU.

Sure! For the 9900K, you need a motherboard with an LGA 1151 socket and a 300-series chipset, specifically Z390 or Z370 for overclocking support.

Solution

Thanks, @Patrick14! I'll definitely give that article a read. So, do you think there are any other important factors to consider?

Yeah, memory overclocking support, video output ports, storage options, connectivity like USB and audio outputs, and form factor are all crucial.

In addition to what @deeblowace said, I'd also recommend considering the number of PCIe expansion slots. The Z390, Z370, and Q370 chipsets offer the most flexibility for the 9900K.

Great, that's really helpful advice! Thanks everyone.
