I recently purchased the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi for my 9700K, and it's been working great so far. The build quality is impressive, and the BIOS updates have improved performance over time. It has a decent number of USB ports, as well as good audio quality. I would recommend giving it a try!
Hey @sealion27, that sounds like an excellent choice! I was also looking for a motherboard with good overclocking capabilities, and this one seems to have them. I read a great article on TechReviewer about the best motherboards for Intel's 9th Gen CPUs, which you can find here: Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i7-9700K. It might be helpful for others in this thread as well.
@sealion27 Thank you for your suggestion! After doing some more research, I've also been looking at the ASUS TUF Gaming Z390-Plus and the MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge WiFi. Do either of you have any experience with these boards?
I've been using the ASUS TUF Gaming Z390-Plus for a few months now, and it's been a reliable board. It has good VRM temperatures under load, stable overclocks, and plenty of PCIe slots for expansion. The BIOS is user-friendly, too.
@DrNoesis That sounds great! Thanks for sharing your experience with the ASUS TUF Gaming Z390-Plus. I'm still a bit torn between this one, the Gigabyte, and the MSI. Any recommendations on which to choose?
Well, @scarlett239, it ultimately comes down to personal preference and your specific needs. The Gigabyte has better audio quality, while the ASUS has more PCIe slots. MSI offers good overall performance and a user-friendly BIOS. @sealion27 Thank you, I'll definitely take a look at that TechReviewer article. In the meantime, are there any other factors I should consider when choosing my next motherboard?
Just a few things to keep in mind - memory overclocking capabilities, storage options (M.2 slots and SATA ports), connectivity (USB and audio), form factor, and PCIe expansion slots. Also, don't forget about the price range you're comfortable with. Each of these factors can play a role in determining which motherboard is best for your needs.
@SociallyAwkwardGent Those are great points! I appreciate the advice. I'll make sure to keep those factors in mind when making my final decision. everyone!
You're welcome, @scarlett239. Just remember that there's no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to motherboards, so take your time and find the one that suits you best. Good luck!
