MSI G242C vs. Popular Gaming Monitors

I recently bought an MSI 23.6" G242C monitor and I'm curious if it's a good choice for gaming. What do you think?

How does the 1920x1080 resolution hold up in today's gaming world? Isn't 1440p or even 4K more common now?

I personally find 1920x1080 to be perfect for my needs. Higher resolutions do look better, but I didn't notice a huge difference in my gameplay.
