I'm considering getting a new monitor and the MSI 27" PRO MP271CW has caught my eye. Can anyone tell me if it's any good? I'm mainly interested in gaming.

Is the MSI 27" PRO MP271CW Good for Gaming? offers some great insights into the built-in speakers as well. They provide a good overview of how they perform compared to other monitors in the same price range.

Yeah, it's working great for me! There's a good article with an overview of it at Is the MSI 27" PRO MP271CW Good for Gaming?. It goes into detail about its performance and features, including the built-in speakers. You should check that out!

That's super useful! It looks like the refresh rate is 75 Hz, which seems like it'd be great for gaming. What about the response time? And do you guys have any experience with the built-in speakers?

I've been using one for a couple of months now and I'm pretty happy with it. The speakers are decent enough for casual gaming and watching videos, but if you're serious about audio, you might want to invest in external speakers or headphones.

Solution

Thanks for sharing that link, @surprisinglylittle! I'll definitely check it out. The speakers might not be ideal for serious gaming, but for casual gaming and videos, they should be fine. What about the resolution? Does anyone know if 1920x1080 is good enough for gaming?

It's perfectly fine for most games, especially if you don't plan on playing at higher resolutions or with ray tracing enabled. If you're interested in more detail and smoother visuals, then you might want to consider a higher resolution monitor.

That makes sense. I'll keep that in mind as I continue my research. Thanks for all the input, everyone!
